QR Code AI is committed to maintaining a safe and trustworthy platform. If you have encountered a QR code created with our service that links to harmful, fraudulent, or illegal content, please report it using the process described below. We take every report seriously and act promptly.

WHAT TO REPORT

You should report any QR code created with QR Code AI that:

• Links to phishing or scam websites designed to steal personal information, passwords, or financial data
• Distributes malware, viruses, or ransomware through downloads or redirects
• Contains illegal content including but not limited to child exploitation material, illegal drug sales, weapons trafficking, or terrorism-related content
• Infringes intellectual property rights including copyright, trademark, or patent violations (see DMCA/Copyright section below)
• Promotes hate speech, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
• Facilitates fraud or financial scams including fake investment schemes, counterfeit goods, or deceptive practices
• Impersonates a person, brand, or organization without authorization
• Violates privacy by linking to unauthorized disclosure of personal information (doxxing)
• Contains spam or misleading redirects that deceive users about the destination
• Uses AI-generated content inappropriately including deepfakes, misleading representations of real individuals, or AI-generated harmful imagery

HOW TO REPORT

Send your report by email to [email protected] with the subject line "Abuse Report" and include the following information:

Required Information

• The QR code URL or short link: The destination URL that the QR code redirects to, or the QR Code AI short link (e.g., qrco.ai/xxxxx)
• Type of abuse: Select the category that best describes the violation from the list above
• Description: A brief explanation of why you believe the content is abusive or violates our policies

Helpful Additional Information

• Screenshot or photo of the QR code as you encountered it (physical location, website, email, etc.)
• Where you found it: Physical location, website URL, email, social media platform, or printed material
• Date and time you encountered the QR code
• Your contact information: Name and email so we can follow up if needed (optional but recommended)

COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY CLAIMS

If you believe a QR code created with our service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please include the following in your report:

• Identification of the copyrighted work or intellectual property you claim has been infringed
• Identification of the material that you claim is infringing, including the QR code URL or short link
• Your contact information (name, address, email, phone number)
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent, or the law
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner
• Your physical or electronic signature

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU REPORT

Our Process

1. Acknowledgment: We acknowledge receipt of your report within 2 business days.
2. Review: Our team reviews the reported content and investigates the claim. This typically takes 3 to 5 business days, depending on the complexity of the report.
3. Action: If we determine that the content violates our Terms of Service or applicable law, we will take one or more of the following actions:
   • Disable the QR code redirect immediately
   • Remove the content from our platform
   • Suspend or terminate the account of the user who created the QR code
   • Report the content to relevant law enforcement authorities if required by law
4. Notification: We will notify you of the outcome of our review, unless prohibited by law or if doing so would compromise an ongoing investigation.

Expedited Review

Reports involving immediate threats to safety, child exploitation material, or active phishing/malware campaigns are prioritised and reviewed within 24 hours.

FALSE REPORTS

Submitting knowingly false or misleading abuse reports is a violation of our Terms of Service. We reserve the right to take action against users who abuse the reporting process, including suspension or termination of their accounts.

PROTECTING REPORTERS

We respect the privacy of individuals who submit abuse reports. Your identity and contact information will not be shared with the reported user unless required by law or legal process.
